Anyway ...FMTouch: As a long time user of the very limited now discontinued FileMaker Mobile, I have just switched from a Treo 755 to an iPhone. While still in the relative early stages of development, FMTouch is already far ahead of FileMaker Mobile. FileMaker Mobile was about $70 and was NOT a relational database application. $100 is a lot for an iPhone application, but I bought FMTouch as soon as I could. My business depends o having quick access to information while I am out of the office and FMTouch allows me to have that access.

The developer is well known in the FileMaker development community for their work on FileMaker-web integration. They have put in a lot of effort to make this application very useful. There are more updates to come with new features being added furiously. If you want to sync FileMaker dbs with your iPhone this is a very good solution. It promises to become even more robust as will the many other iPhone apps as they develop and the platform becomes more mature. This is a great start.

Since the removal of FileMaker Mobile from FileMaker's product mix a massive hole has existed for FileMaker developers with customers demanding a mobile app. FMTouch fills this hole elegantly and in a more robust manner than Mobile ever did.

This is not a toy app or some restaurant locator. FMTouch is a database connectivity and business productivity toll that is well worth the price if you are a developer looking to stand on the leading edge of FileMaker extensibility. Many thanks to the FMWebschool team for filling this void and pushing the envelope a little further.

I have been fortunate to have been on the beta team and have helped influence some changes in this product as well as being fortunate to create a style guide available at fmpug.com for creating layouts for your data that are suited to this application and the iPhone.

The FMWebschool team has done a fantastic job with the v1 application in bringing FileMaker to the iPhone and iPod Touch and I commend their work. I encourage you to purchase this application if you wish to access your FileMaker data remotely. We are using it to quickly access member information for both fmpug.com and findfilemakerdevelopers.com. The ease of use and simplicity of syncing have not been seen for any FileMaker application beforehand.

Funny, this list appears to be divided by those who get it and those who don't. Too bad ignorance is lowering the score of an otherwise awesome app. If you have a clue about FileMaker you'll see the value of FMTouch right away.

I have been using database apps on cell phones for years. I have learned that I just had to put up with limitations that they imposed. Not any more! I have been able to far exceed what I have ever done in the past for cell phone data management. FMTouch makes it easy to bring in your existing FileMaker database and support many of the popular features such as Relationships. Portals an Value List yet keep the iPhone look and feel. FMWebschool has offered unsurpassed support of this new program. One hour of my time is worth more than $99 and FMTouch will save me lots of time!

Thank you FMWebschool for an exceptional product. I have been a FileMaker developer for many years and I was extremely disappointed when FileMaker Mobile was discontinued. FMTouch however has more than taken its place.

I find it interesting when reading back through some of the feedback, the the positive feedback comes from people that have actually bought and have experience with FMTouch while the others are arguing about price.

FMTouch is truly an amazing application. I paid $70 for FileMaker Mobile and it was just a simple flat file. FMTouch let's you have multiple tables and layouts and portals and value lists. Also, since purchasing I have received updates and my emails have been answered immediately. Communication and a great product gets my money every time.

FMWebschool has come up with another great product for the FileMaker community. As one of the early birds to get this product, FMTouch rocks! Takes a little to configure since you have to export a DDR to load on your device (iPhone or iTouch) but they have excellent online videos to guide you. Expect continual effort by FMWebschool to make FMTouch an awesome product.

While the FMTouch was under review by Apple for the App Store 3 updates were posted, yes they listen. They have a website for the product fmtouch.com and forums on the fmwebschool.com dedicated to FMTouch for feature requests and bug reports.

FMWebschool staff will answer your questions, make product improvements, and take feedback. FMWebschool wants to make an awesome product and they will. FileMaker Mobile is no longer sold, and FMTouch will pick up the mobile market that once used FileMaker Mobile and take the feature set much further than FileMaker Mobile ever did. Since 6 stars is not an option, I'll have to leave 5 stars. Keep up the great work Stephen, Michael, and everyone else at FMWebschool.

As someone that has been working with FileMaker for more than 15 years, I immediately saw the need for something like FMTouch when I got my first iPhone. This is a well-written app, designed for FileMaker users who have a need to access their data from their iPhones. For a v1 product this is a very robust and well-written app, worth every penny.

I spoke to the lead developer for FMTouch and was told that an update has been submitted to the Apple Store and the new plug-in is being updated and uploaded to the fmtouch website. I was also told that plug-in updates will be available there first. He also said that until I purchased FileMaker Advanced they would created the DDR for me - just email it for now -and tomorrow they would have an upload process in place.
